Why keep it in the kitchen

Feel more in it.

Coffee can change the shape of a day. THRUM is built to shape it differently.

A rich cacao cup for feeling awake, engaged, and still like yourself—whether you’re working, gardening, with your family, playing a game, making dinner, or doing nothing important at all.

Awake enough to engage. Grounded enough to stay.

What size is right?

Meet it. Keep it. Make it often.

Cup counts use the standard 1 oz / 28 g THRUM cup and remain approximate because shard weights and personal dosing vary.

Why this cacao

Not every cacao becomes this cup.

THRUM starts with an unusual Oaxacan cacao selected specifically for drinking. It is unfermented, deeply full-bodied, and part of a sourcing line Chocolate Alchemy has worked with and documented over time.

The difference begins before the bag: source, post-harvest handling, roast, and the way the whole bean is carried into the cup.

This is a bean with years of sourcing notes, roast work, tasting records, and laboratory documentation behind it—without turning those historical records into current-lot nutrition claims.

Good to know

The quick answers.

THRUM is an everyday drinking cacao—not coffee, cocoa powder, or a worldview you have to adopt.

Is it coffee?

No. THRUM is whole-bean cacao. Cacao naturally contains caffeine, theobromine, and other bioactive compounds; sensitivity varies.

Water or milk?

Either. Water keeps the cacao direct and grounded. Milk or alt milk makes the body rounder and softer.

What is in it?

Ingredients: Whole bean cacao. Choose your own milk, sweetener, spice, and amount.

What tools help?

A small scale and handheld milk frother make the daily method fast and repeatable.

How should I store it?

Keep sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong odors. For best flavor and texture, use within 24 months of production.

Who makes it?

Crafted in collaboration with Chocolate Alchemy in Eugene, Oregon. Made with cacao from a women’s collective farm.
