The story
It begins with the cup your hand reaches for.
Not the cup you think you should want. The one that actually holds the life in front of you.
I left coffee because my body stopped negotiating.
Not forever. Not as an identity. I simply needed another way to be awake.
Cacao kept appearing. In kitchens. In practice rooms. In long conversations. In the ordinary afternoons when the work was still there and another coffee would have made the rest of the day worse.
Years later, I found myself back inside the Oregon chocolate company whose systems I had once helped rebuild, tasting cacao with the founder and realizing the product I had been circling was already within reach.
THRUM is the ritual brand. Cacao is the first product.
The company is built around a plain idea: ritual should make ordinary life more inhabitable. It should not ask you to perform belief. It should help you arrive inside the thing you are already doing.
That is what this cup is for.

The mark

The source beneath it
New brand. Long lineage.
THRUM is new. The cacao relationship is not.
The first product is built on single-origin cacao from Oaxaca and made in Oregon. Public maker and cooperative language will be published only after the supply, license, and documentation are signed. That is not less romantic. It is the honest way to build.
